Worlds Collide:
This weekend's photo wanderings revealed the great abundance and contrast of photo worthy subjects within a barely three mile radius of my home in Montclair. Friday evening we rolled down the hill to see the Garden State Rollergirls battle out their 3rd Annual Charity Bout at the the Branch Brook Park Roller Skating Rink (former Velodrome) in Newark. Dressed in black superhero costumes and skating at Olympic speeds---eat your heart out Apollo Ohno---they proved once and for all that girls are not flowers..! Meanwhile, a stones throw away, a riot of color and shape was taking place within the heirloom garden at the Presby Memorial Gardens on Upper Mountain. No shrinking violets to be found anywhere.
